Edward LeRoy Pike

Edward LeRoy Pike passed on October 20, 2015. He was born in Golden to Postmaster Z. M. "Monte" and Emily (Dennis) Pike on February 26, 1924. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia, daughter Dani Young (Ron) of Littleton, son Brian Pike (Stacey) of Golden, Grandchildren Karson Pike of Council Bluffs, Kendal Pike-Kruse (Mike) of Nome Alaska, Taylor Nicole Young of Littleton and Great-Granddaughter Renner Gray Kruse. As well as his brother Z. M. “Monty” Pike (Grace) of Salida, brother in law, Ron Smith, and sister in laws, nieces and nephews.

Ed was a Colorado School of Mines Graduate Class of 1949. A loving son, brother and wonderful husband, father and grandfather. A successful business manager he was known for his quick wit and sense of humor to his family and many friends. He enjoyed music and sang in barbershop quartets and choirs much of his life. He was elected to Golden City Council in the 1960’s, served on the Golden Methodist Church Board and was a devoted member of the Golden Lions Club. Work promotions took him, and his family, from Golden to Verona, New Jersey, Issaquah, Washington and then to Southern California before returning to Colorado to be near his children and grandchildren and enjoy their many activities.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday November 14, 2015 at 10:30 AM, First United Methodist Church of Golden
