Ethel M Hill

She was born in Clayton, NM on December 8, 1921 to the late Isaac and Vera Ogle. Ethel graduated from Grinville High School in Grinville, NM.

On December 31, 1948 Ethel married the love of her life Dudley Hill.

Ethel was a member of the Idledale Community Church since is opening in the late 1950’s. She was very dedicated to her family and her church. Fruit cake is something that everyone runs away from but not Ethel’s. Her fruit cake was loved by all. She was an amazing cook and was known for her lasagna, fruit pies, fruit cake and jellies and jam.

Ethel is survived by her children Daniel (Sandy) Hill of Idledale, CO and Denee (Roy) Suazo of Idledale, CO; grandchildren Melissa (Matt) Barenbrugge of Bailey, CO, Tashara (Mike) Hill of Pine, CO, Addie Jo (Nick) Brunning of Highlands Ranch, CO; sister Maxine Francis of Lakin, KS and 5 great grandchildren.

Services for Ethel will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Idledale Community Chruch. A committal service will take place on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 9:30am at Fort Logan National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ethel’s honor to Idledale Community Church.
