

Georgianna (Towne) Ervin was born on the family farm in Frontier County, Nebraska, on July 24, 1923, to William and Jessie (Barry) Towne. She passed peacefully away on August 14, 2015, at 92 years of age. In 1941, she graduated from the State of Nebraska School for Agriculture in Curtis, Nebraska. After WWII, she married her high school sweetheart, Willis Ervin, the love of her life. She was an accomplished seamstress. She loved flower gardening and she and her husband built many beautiful gardens at their mountain home in Evergreen, CO. She also enjoyed traveling -- taking family vacations, going to see her grandchildren and taking trips around the world. She especially loved working on projects with her husband whether it was remodeling their house or woodworking projects. She is survived by her children -- Bethene Ervin of Broomfield, Colorado; Luanne (Leonard) Todd of Golden, Colorado; and Roger (Jacque) Ervin of Beaverton, Oregon; three grandchildren – Jessica (Dave) Agee of Albany, Oregon; Hillary Ervin, and Graham Ervin of Portland, Oregon; and three great-grandchildren – Brennan and Kellen Agee, and Theo Ervin. She is also survived by three brothers -- Virgil, Harold, and Leland Towne, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Willis Ervin; two sisters, Rowena Burton and Verle Nelson; and six brothers, William, Lawrence, Max, Melvin, Floyd, and Leonard Towne. A memorial service will be at 10:00 on Friday, September 11, 2015, at Applewood Valley United Methodist Church, 2035 Ellis St., Golden, CO 80401. Interment will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
