In the years I served with Harold on Readmissions Committee at CSM, there was never a more compassionate advocate for the students.  He will be missed, even in parting Yellowstone benefits from him.

So sorry for the loss of your loved one. Please know that God is close to those broken-hearted and He saves those crushed in spirit.

 I have fond and lasting memories of Harold from the time we spent on a father-son raft trip in Idaho several years ago.  I thoroughly enjoyed his company, sense of humor and hunting stories. I will never forget him.

I was privileged to have known Dean Cheuvront when I started at Mines in January 2006.  After he left, I would see Dr. Cheuvront in town, and we would talk and listen to each other about family especially. Such an icon - both professionally and personally.  He expressed so much love for Mines and especially for Jane, their sons and their wives, grandchildren, and his sister Deborah.  I learned a LOT from Dr. Cheuvront.  Thank you, Sir.

Just learned of Harold's passing...we graduated high school together in 1964 and Harold's youth group from Cedar Grove UMC often joined with ours from our church for activities.  He was a great guy back then and it seems he went on to have a great career and family.  May God bless you all and give you comfort and His peace.  Betty (Chichester) Nesselrode

I will never forget the guidance Harold gave me as a young professional. His vision for Mines was exemplary and students both today and for years to come will benefit from his leadership. He possessed a competitive spirit, he was a great friend and he will be greatly missed! I wish Jane and the entire Cheuvront family all the best!

I worked with Harold many times at Mines on many different issues over two decades. He was a great advocate for the students and made us a better University. He will be greatly missed by many! My condolences on your loss.
