

Jack Tinsley Cannon, Jr. of Wheat Ridge, Parachute and Silver Plume, Colorado went home to be with the Lord on December 19th. Jack was the beloved and devoted husband to Denise Difeo-Cannon. Jack was proud to be the step-father of three sons, three step-sister-in-laws and five step-grandchildren.
Jack, Jr. was the son of Jack Tinsley Cannon of Stilesboro, Georgia and Vera Carolyn Stapleton of Elberton, Georgia. Jack is survived by three brothers, two sisters, three sister-in-laws, one brother-in-law and many nieces & nephews.
Jack was an exceptionally accomplished student athlete at the Way Cross High School in Way Cross, Georgia. Jack excelled in football at the state level while in high school and subsequently was offered a full scholarship as quarterback at Florida State University Seminoles. Jack’s success as a leader in high school and college, charted his life path as a Pilot with the United States Air Force and Continental Airlines, and as Flight Security Advisor he trained Continental staff in hijacking and hostage negotiations techniques.
Jack was an accomplished member of the law enforcement community as a Deputy for the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office in Colorado and a major Polygraph Examiner for multiple Sheriff and Police Departments throughout the State of Colorado.
Jack was a wood and stone carver, lover of nature, best friend of canines, hummingbirds, waterfowl and children.

Jack was taller than trees and loved by people whose lives he touched.
