Margaret Sylvia Byington

Margaret Byington, a long time resident of the Golden area, passed away on September 12, 2011, at the age of 98. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Margaret graduated from Wooster College in 1934, and was an elementary school teacher. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, PEO, and DAR. Margaret loved reading, gardening, playing piano and organ, nature, especially birds and flowers, playing bridge and socializing with friends. She traveled extensively including all fifty states and capitals. Howard, her husband of 56 years, predeceased her.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter and son, Barbara (Richard), and Tom, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many other family and friends.

A memorial service celebrating Margaret's life will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, September 19, 2011 at Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church, 11500 W 20th Ave., Lakewood, Colorado.
