Mary went home to serve her Lord in his flock in January 2015. She was the daughter of George and Louise Strackbein. She was raised in Texas. She played both bass and snare drums at Rock Springs High School. She began her career at Southwestern Bell in 1968. She then transferred to Mountain Bell followed by US West. Mary's proudest career accomplishment was working for the same company for 28 years. Her proudest family moment was locating her grandmother after 56 years of separation. Mary considered her greatest accomplishment in life is to have been blessed with caring and compassionate friends.
She was a caring, friendly, charismatic woman. Her smile could light up a room. She always put others first. She was a class act. Mary will be greatly missed.
