Terry Lee Smith

SERVICES: APRIL 18th, 2015 at 2pm at the Idledale Community Church. Idledale, CO.

Terry Lee Smith, Sr. passed away peacefully in his home Tuesday, March 10, 2015.

He was born May 3, 1952 in Lake Charles, LA to Lawrence & Doris (Amy) Smith. He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his loving companion Joyce Lemelin; three children: Terry Smith, Jr & companion Diane Allen; Melissa Smith and companion Kyle Dixon; and Jamye Vidrine & companion Whitney Sykes; 7 grandchildren; his mother; 3 brothers Larry (Beep) Smith, Sr. & wife Diane, Ron Smith, Sr. & companion Cheryl Matte, Greg Smith & wife Rhonda; 1 sister Melanie Addison & husband Jeff; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation will be in accordance with his wishes in CO where he has loved living the last 25 years in the mountains.

Terry spent the last 25 years as a heavy equipment operator/foreman in the city of Denver with various construction companies before retiring to his mountain home. As a dedicated and talented operator and supervisor, everyone who had the opportunity of working for and alongside Terry enjoyed it.

After retiring, Terry continued his selfless dedication to his community of Idledale, where he has inspired and touched each life he came in contact with. Terry never met a stranger.
