

A devoted wife, loving mother and cherished grandmother, she passed away on Saturday, September 08, 2012, she was 94. She was a resident of Lake, La and former owner of Tureau’s Grocery. She was a native of Baton Rouge and a 1935 graduate of Baker High. Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral home, Gonzales, La on Monday, September 10, 2012 from 5 pm to 9 pm, with recitation of the Rosary at 7 pm. Visiting will resume on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Chapel in Lake, La from 8 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Burial to follow in Lake Cemetery. She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Tureau LeBlanc and husband, Kyle; four sons and daughters in law, Dale and Judy Decoteau Tureau, Edmond and Mary Bonds Tureau, Pat and Monica Elisar Tureau, and Thomas and Maureen Scallan Tureau; two sisters in law, Ida Mae Tureau and Margarite Robin; two brothers in law, George Robin and Milton Carpenter; ten grandchildren, Tim, Tony, Nick, David, Todd, Amy, and Justine Tureau, Nessa Tureau Vavasseur, and Daniel and Chad LeBlanc; and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Tureau; parents, Cleveland and Josephine Fuentes Devall; son, Ivan Tureau; sisters, Louise May and Corrine Carpenter; brothers and sisters in law, Jessie and Mattie Lou Devall and Johnny and Arretta Devall. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Altar Society, and the Catholic Daughters. She was also a longtime member of the Lake Chapel Rosary Group.
