Alvin "Dave" David Baham

Alvin was born on April 29, 1926 to Charles and Cassie Baham in New Orleans. He was the seventh of twelve children. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed social gatherings with family and friends. He was a very generous person with a kind soul. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his two sisters, Josephine and Audrey Baham; brother, Floyd Baham; grandson, Corey Savario; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cassie and Charles Baham; his first wife, Margie Swanson; second wife, Jeannette "Netsy" Gautreaux; daughter, Kathy Baham; grandson, David McCrory; three sisters, Ethel, Odeal, and Sara; and five brothers, Charles, Henry, Garlington, James and Harold Baham.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of St. Joseph Hospice for their care and compassion.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 11:30 am until the funeral services to begin for 1:30 pm at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales. Interment to follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memory Mausoleum on Hwy 30.
