Ana Portillo Marchand

“When one finds a worthy wife, her value is far beyond pearls. Her husband, entrusting his heart to her, has an unfailing prize. A resident of Gonzales, she passed away Friday, July 15, 2011. She was the owner of Tiny Tots Nursery. She is survived by her husband, Troy Marchand; mother, Marta L. Portillo; father and mother-in-law, Pat and Judy Marchand; two daughters and a son-in-law, Michelle and Mike Cobb, and Stephanie Knobloch and fiancé Jeremy Powers; two stepdaughters, Katelyn and Rebecca Marchand; two stepsons, Jacob and Joshua Marchand; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Nelly Martinez, Blanca Harman, Sandy and Garry Garrison, Martha and W. Clay Van Deventer, and Noemi Portillo; two brothers and sisters-in-law, J. Evelio and Marietha Portillo, and Jose “Joe” and Leah Portillo;brother-in-law Mike and Lizanne Marchand; two grandchildren, Abagail Lenora Cobb andEthan Michael Cobb; nieces, Martha Alicia Espana, Karina Galvez, Ruth Fernandez, Tita Powell, Stella Harman, Sabrina Garrison and Jessica Van Deventer; and nephews, Geovanni Portillo, Edwin Portillo, Kemish Martinez, Darryl Harman, Dane Portillo Michael Marchand, Patrick Marchand and Gabriel Marchand. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Isaac and Petronila Portillo; father, Alfredo Portillo; and grandson, Payton Alexander Cobb. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Monday, July 18, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting will resume on Tuesday, July 19, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Gonzales, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Bob Stine. Interment to follow in St. Theresa Catholic Church Cemetery, Gonzales. Pallbearers will be Troy Marchand, Pat Marchand, Mike Marchand, Billy Taylor, J. Evelio Portillo, Jose “Joe” Portillo, Dane Portillo and Darryl Harman. Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Marchand, Joshua Marchand, W. Clay Van Deventer, Geovanni Portillo, Edwin Portillo and Mike Cobb.
