A life filled with love, laughter, an unforgettable smile, and memories is one worth celebrating. Archie “Chee” “Cheezus” Louis Ritchie Jr. passed away on October 7, 2026 at 47 years old. Chee retired as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, serving for 20 years selflessly as a dedicated crew chief. Through his life, Chee was an avid golfer and gamer, but above all, Chee was a devoted and loving husband and father. His greatest pride and joy were his wife and two children, whom he loved deeply. He leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories, unconditional love, and an unforgettable legacy that will forever live on through his family.
Chee was the cherished and loving husband of Allison Lousteau Ritchie. Their love story began in Bossier City, Louisiana, while Chee was stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base. From that first chapter, their lives became intertwined, beginning a journey that would span 18 years of marriage, shared memories, and the building of a family. For the last 4 years, Allison was his rock and biggest supporter, walking beside him through the uncertainty and challenges and offering strength when times were hard for both Chee and their two children. Chee was more than a husband; he was a partner, a source of strength, and an important part of her world. The memories they created together will forever be cherished.
Chee was the father of two children, Eli and Peyton. Eli shares his dad’s quiet strength and bravery, carrying those same qualities that made his father so special. Though he may be quiet, there is a courage and strength within him that reflects his dad in so many ways. One of the special bonds they shared was their love for gaming, creating memories and moments together that Eli will treasure forever. Peyton shares her dad’s spunky spirit, quick wit, and ability to bring a smile to the faces of those around her. Just like him, she has a personality that shines through, a sharp sense of humor, and a spark that makes her uniquely special. Their connection will forever be a part of her heart, and his influence will continue to live on through her laughter, her strength, and her one-of-a-kind personality.
Chee is survived by his father and his significant other, Archie Ritchie Sr. and Perpaulia Weaver, his mother Rita Morris, his mother-in-law Bonita Lousteau, his sisters-in-law Jennifer Keller (Daniel), Rachael Laiche (Arthur), and Katie Ockmond (Joseph), and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Louis and Addie Harris Ritchie, Garland Durham, Martha Morris, and his father-in-law Gary Lousteau.
A celebration of Chee’s life will be held on Saturday October 17th beginning at 10:00 AM at Ourso Funeral Home at 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, LA 70737. The family requests that you wear anything that makes you think of Chee (blue or grey) and think of a story/memory you’d like to share during the celebration of Chee’s life.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be deeply grateful for any expressions of love and support during this difficult time. Those wishing to help may do so through monetary gifts, gift cards, or the gift of a home-cooked meal. Every thoughtful gesture, kind word, and act of kindness is truly appreciated as the family navigates this time of loss.
