A native of San Diego, California and resident of Queen Creek, Arizona, she passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the age of 84. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Pauline and Randall Russ; son and daughter-in-law, George and Barbara Peterson; brother, David Thomas; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Phillip Peterson; father, Edwin Thomas; mother, Helen Hartzel Thomas Benson; and brother, Bill Thomas. There will be a memorial gathering at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, Tuesday, October 16, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until a memorial service at 10:30 a.m., conducted by Rev. Ronnie Warren.
