Arthur “AJ” Kelly passed away on May 3, 2025 at the age of 87. He was born on September 24, 1937 to Dawson V. Kelly Sr. and Annie Mae Whitehead Kelly. AJ was a United States Army Veteran and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church of Baton Rouge. For many years he did tile work in the construction industry.
He is survived by his siblings; Shirley (Dennis) Scivicque, Dawson Kelly Jr., Joyce Cooper and Glenn Kelly and numerous nieces, nephews and family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings; Betty Harelson, Sarah Averett, Claude Kelly and Danny Kelly.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy. Gonzales, LA 70737, on Thursday, May 22, 2025, visitation will begin at 6pm with a service at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Woodlawn Baptist Church of Baton Rouge.
