Artyelee Rita Scott

Artyelee, age 88, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was a native of Dutchtown and resident of Gonzales. Artyelee enjoyed dancing, cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by daughter, Rhonda Townsend and husband Jesse, Barbara Scott; sons, Sidney Scott Jr. and wife Cheryl, Randolph Scott, Eric Scott, Blain Scott, Jesse Scott and wife Anita; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild on the way, Jax. Arteylee is preceded in death by her husband Sidney Scott Sr.; parents, Guy and Enid Gautreau Braud; son Terrell Scott; sister, Isabell Delatte; brother, Alvin Braud; grandchild, Derrick "Boo" Scott. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church (3625 Hwy 75 St. Gabriel, La 70776) from 9:00 am until funeral service at 10:00 am. Interment will immediately follow at St. Gabriel Catholic Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sidney Scott Jr., Randolph Scott, Eric Scott, Jesse Scott, Lee Townsend, and Lyle Townsend and honorary pallbearers will be T.J. Scott, Garret Scott, Aaron Braud, Jimmy Townsend and Jesse Townsend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Artyelee's name to the National Kidney Foundation .
