Axel James Morrissey, beloved son of Jailyn Michelle Reine and Dillan James Morrissey, was born on April 22, 2025. After a long and courageous battle, he was welcomed into God's arms on March 14, 2026.
Axel is survived by his parents, his sister Aliyah Morrissey, and brothers Dillan James Morrissey Jr., and Atley Michael Reine-McWhorter. He is also survived by grandparents Kimberly and Brandon Greer, Morgan and Tandy Morrissey, and Cynthia Simpson, great-grandparents Carolyn McDaniel, and Mary and Roy Templet, aunts and uncles Summer and Tyler Blank, Dallas Morrissey, Michael Zeringue, and Sagen Simpson, and cousins Kenli and Kori Blank, Emma Lynn Smith, and Asher and Ryder Melancon. Axel is preceded in death by his grandfather, Jody Reine, and great-grandparents James and Billie Jean Morrissey and Larry Carlos.
