Betty Hook Douglas

She was born on January 29, 1934, in Chillicothe, Missouri, and graduated from Rogersville High School. Betty married the love of her life, Albert W. Douglas and together they shared 44 wonderful years of marriage.

Betty worked as a Medical Administrative Assistant at LSU Medical, where she was known for her dedication and kindness. She enjoyed reading, flowers and cooking and had a true passion for caring for others.

She is survived by her children, Gregory (Tommie Sue), Scott (Sharon) and Mary (Joe); grandchildren, Chad, Paige, Joey, Caitlyn (Daniel), Dana (fiancé James), and Shanda (Brad) and her great-grandchildren, Douglas “Rock” Caves, Addison, Barrett, Katarina, Alaric and Hazel.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband; brother; her daughter, Francis Caves and great granddaughter, Bailey McReynolds.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 17th from 10:00-11:00 AM at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, LA, 70737. Service will begin at 11:00, with interment to follow at Hope Haven in Prairieville.
