Billie Gammell

Billie Gammell passed away on March 8, 2026. She was a native of Poteau, Oklahoma and a resident of Maurepas, Louisiana. She is survived by her children, Stephen Moreau (Marleen) and Wendy Ovella (Kurt), her grandchildren, Kate & Lucas Ovella and Xavier, Gideon & Isa Moreau. She is also survived by her siblings, George Crawford (Sharon) of Glenpool, OK, Mary Rasmussen (the late Royce) of Maurepas, LA, Charles Grant (Kathy) of Chandler, TX and Melissa Patton (Michael) of Pryor, OK and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles “Bud” Gammell, her parents, Gene & Jimmie Goodman and her brother, James Carter.

Billie enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved watching Jeopardy & Wheel of Fortune and spending time with her cat Randi. Billie also appreciated her evening visits with the neighbors. She was strong in her faith and attended church on Sundays regularly. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy. Gonzales, LA 70737. The visitation will begin at 11AM with a prayer service at 1PM. A private burial will take place in her home state of Oklahoma at a later date.
