Brenda A. Bourque

Brenda Ann Bourque, a native of New Orleans and resident of Harahan, passed away on January 21, 2024, at the age of 80. Born December 13th, 1943, Brenda attended East Jefferson High School and later became a School Bus attendant for the Jefferson Parish & Ascension School System. Brenda found joy in life's simple pleasures, particularly her love for travel alongside her husband, Paul. She had a deep affection for her family and relished in the company of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Known for her culinary preferences, Brenda had a special fondness for seafood, with fried oysters and whole fried catfish being among her favorites. She also enjoyed indulging in a good roast beef sandwich and savoring the flavors of a Chocolate Russian Daiquiri. Brenda is survived by her children, Paul Anthony Bourque (Lynn), Keith Joseph Bourque Sr. (Sharon) and Nancy Bourque Roig. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Brandy Bourque, Christopher Bourque (Kacie), Keith Bourque II, Kyle Bourque (Brianna), Eric Bourque (Kelsey), and Cameron Roig (Brandi). Additionally, she leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Scarlett and Georgia. Brenda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul C. Bourque, her parents, Lionel Vicknair Sr. and Nancy Vicknair, her brother, Lionel Vicknair Jr., and son-in-law, James Roig. A visitation for Brenda will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737. A recitation of the rosary will occur Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM, 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737. A burial will occur Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Holy Rosary Cemetery, 44450 LA Highway 429, St. Amant, Louisiana 70774.
