

Bruce Joseph Sarrazin, son of the late Benedict Joseph and Betty Jo (Andrews) Sarrazin, was born September 22, 1953, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and departed this life on January 16, 2018, at his residence in Mountain Grove, Missouri.
Bruce grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and graduated from Redemptorist High School in Baton Rouge. He served his country in the United States Army from 1973-1976.
On November 2, 1981, he was united in marriage to Marsha (Taylor) in Baker, Louisiana.
Bruce retired from Baton Rouge City Police Department as a Lieutenant. He and Marsha moved to Mountain Grove, Missouri in 2003. He worked a few years for Mountain Grove Police Department as a dispatcher.
He was an avid gun collector and enjoyed bullet reloading. Bruce loved shooting, hunting, and the outdoors.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha Sarrazin, of the home, one son, Scott Serrazin and his wife, Kelley, of Prairieville, Louisiana, one daughter, Sherron Dupre and her husband, Bobby, of Clinton, Louisiana, two step-sons, Robert Heap and his wife, Karrell, and James Barry Heap, all of Lake Charles, Louisiana, three brothers, Byron Sarrazin and his wife, Inga, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Brent Sarrazin and his wife, Sue Ellen, of Clinton, Louisiana, and Bryce Sarrazin and his wife, Mary, of Prairieville, Louisiana, one sister, Bonnie Martin and her husband, Lawrence, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, eight grandchildren, eight-great grandchildren and other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 10:00 am-11:00 am. The Memorial service will begin at 11:00 am.
