

Byron “Bo” Lynn James age 68 and a resident of Prairieville, La passed away on September 12, 2024, in Prairieville, La. He was born on December 23, 1955 in Independence, La. Bo was the Fire Chief of the Galvez-Lake Volunteer Fire Department until the time of his death. He was in the fire service for 18 years. Bo retired from Atmos Energy in 2014. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Karen Hinson James; 2 daughters, Amanda Jessup (Daniel), and Melanie James; 3 bonus daughters, Lynne Cochran (Craig), Tricia Adams (Eric), Catherine Bihm (Joshua); 9 grandchildren, Austin Jessup (Ally), Dustin Jessup (Sydney), Payton Cochran, Spencer Tull, Madelyn Adams, Holden Adams, Blake Bihm, Weston Bihm, and Luke Bihm; 2 great-grandchildren, Alice Jessup, and Sutton Jessup; 3 sisters, Patty Reed (David), Theresa Guedry (Bobby), and Tammy Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank James, Jr and Dorothy Jean “Dot” James, and brother Gary Dale James. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales on Monday, September 16, 2024, from 5 pm to 9 pm and on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 9 am until the funeral Service at 11 am. Burial to be held at Colyell Cemetery, Colyell, La. Arrangements by Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales, La.
