Carlyn L Kling

Carlyn Louis Kling of Geismar, La. passed away peacefully on Sept 15, 2023, at the age of 89. Carlyn was the devoted husband of Gerry Bourque Kling his beloved wife of 67 years and the loving father of Karen Kelley, Gwen Carpenter (preceded in death), and Kevin Kling (Cindi). He was the cherished grandfather of Jason Kelley (Noemi), Amy Carpenter, Jodie Daigle (Brett), Lu Kling, and Justin Gunn (Blue Gunn) and great-grandfather of Samantha Kelley, Alex and Bee Ruff, Hayden, Hailee, and Hunter Daigle. Carlyn is survived by his sister, Catherine Furlow. He was proud to be uncle to many nieces and nephews. Carlyn was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Kling and Alix Babin Kling; brothers, Wilton, Earl, and CJ; and sisters, Lena Glenn, Lydia Richardson, and Rita Hernandez and son-in-law Patrick Kelley. A visitation will be held on Monday, Sept 18, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, Sept 19, 2023, from 9 a.m. till the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, La.
