GONZALES – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs Carol Ann Bell Buyas, age 66 , at 12 :00 pm Monday September 14th, 2015 at St Stephen Catholic Church in Whitehall, La., Fr. Jason Palermo officiating. Interment will follow at Whitehall Community Cemetery in Whitehall, La. .

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 12 :00 pm on Monday in St Stephen Catholic Church

A native of New Orleans, La and resident of Maurepas, Mrs. Buyas passed away Friday evening September 11, 2015 in Baton Rouge, La.

Carol loved shopping her favorite past time. Lived and loved for Christmas and spending time with her family. Loved her babies as she called them grandchildren, nieces, nephews and of course her granddogs Jasper and Tito

She is survived by her husband, Don Buyas; her mother, Audrey Delatte Scivicque; 2 son, Brett Bell wife Nicole; Bobby Buyas and wife Leigh Buyas; Blaine Buyas. Sister-in-law\Shopping buddy- Debra “Deb” Bell; sisters in heart- Joy Womack, Cindy Tureau, Sylvia “Moose” Golden, Peggy Fontenot and Lynn Rice.

2 grandsons- Brandon Bell and Braydon Buyas 3 grand daughters- Bhrooke Bell; Britney Buyas and Sydney Buyas. 2 nieces- Amber Bell Gaudin husband Mark; and Jodie Bell; Great Niece- Kylee Guitreau; Great Nephew- Landon Delatte; Godmmother- Serena Hoover

Preceded in death by her brother Merlin “Joe Joe” Bell, Jr.; her father Merlin Bell, Sr.; her grandparents John Bell & Marie Berthelot Bell Johnson; James and Lillie Dupuy Delatte. Godfather- Lee Bartholomae

Pallbearers will be James “Bull” Bell; Travis Vernon; David Dupre; Bubba LeBourgeois; Jeff Poche; Troy Leader; Kenny Watts and RJ Womack

Honorary pallbearers will be Gilbert Delatte; Wilbert Delatte and Ed Delatte

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Shows and his staff. Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. St. Joseph’s Hospice- Nurses, Doctors, Social Workers and all of their staff.

Special thanks to her other caregivers who shared their love and time with her Sue Dunaway, Wanda Groscost, Jodi Vicknair, Sylvia “Moose” Golden, Deb Bell, Amber Gaudin, Brandy Carroll, Joy Womack, Travis & Nicole Vernon, Bobby & Leigh Buyas.

Lots of love to her special spiritual friend that brought a smile to her face just by mentioning her name- Carrie Brown. Thanks to all friends and family that have been there for Carol and family. Our cup runneth over.
