Meredith Family, I am so sorry for your loss.  Cathy and I met when I taught at DHS so many years ago.  She was a great mentor and friend, guiding me throughout my career as an educator.  Our time spent together will be memories forever in my heart.

We extend our deepest sympathies to all of you. Cathy was a kind and caring person always wearing a smile. Heaven is a little brighter now that she is there. She will continue smiling while watching over all her love ones here. May the peace of the Lord be with you now and always.

I am so sorry for your pain and loss!  She was one of the sweetest girls at Lake Providence High School. Always a smile on her face. The world needs more people like Cathy!!

I knew Cathy through tennis.  We played many times over ten years which afforded me a chance to get to know her.   She played a fair and competitive game which was always challenging and fun.  We shared laughs and good conversation in social situations with tennis friends.  I have not seen Cathy in many years and was so sad to hear of her illness and passing. She will be missed by many.

Cathy was the best sister a person could want.  There were so many good moments we shared.  She lived her life well, looking for joy in all that she did.  She loved life and worked hard at all she did from her family life to her work life to her hobbies.  People loved her wherever she was. I will miss her bright sparkle, her humor, and zest for life. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Cathy was such an awesome person! I was so fortunate to have taught with her at Dutchtown Elementary, to have worked at DTP while she was principal at Dutchtown Middle, and to have had her as the supervisor of librarians when she became Director of High Schools. Cathy was one of the most professional, dedicated, and concerned educators I have ever worked with. Whenever I had a problem, question, or concern, Cathy was always quick to work with me to help me find solutions. She will truly be missed. I loved her dearly!!!

I worked  with Cathy at Dutchtown Primary Middle school. She was one truly wonderful person. Always had a smile for everyone. I know she will be truly missed. One of my fondness memories is bringing her that favorite ice cream she loved. Peppermint by Bluebell. I found it before she did and surprised her with it one morning. It's the little things you do to make someone happy, she would say. God Bless you my friend and may you walk the streets of gold now.

I worked at Prairieville School when Ms. Meredith was principal.  She was an awesome principal and a wonderful person.

Many fond memories of Cathy at Dutchtown Middle - both as a fellow teacher and as our principal. I had the honor of teaching with her there and will always remember her smile and laugh. I saw her last summer at the Walmart in Prairieville and she was enjoying her retirement and was happy to hear I was close to retiring as well. What a beautiful spirit, gone too soon. To Mary Elise and family, I'm so very sorry for your loss.  Mrs. Cathy was such a wonderful person.  She was always so welcoming at Mary Elise's sleepovers.  I remember her cooking chicken and dumplings which I had never eaten before then and it was delicious.  This was probably around 1988.  She also taught my brother, Eric, and I remember him speaking fondly of her.  May she rest in peace.  I will keep all of you in my prayers.  God bless.

Ray, Mary Elise, Matthew, Marion and Family. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Cathy was always such a sweet person. We always enjoyed her visits when she would walk over when we were at Midori's house.

I was at a luncheon just last week with about a dozen teachers - a few of us still active but most retired from APSB. Someone metioned Cathy's name and asked if anyone knew how she was doing. Every single person at the table had only nice things to say about Cathy. I met her shortly after I started teaching at DHS in 2007,  and every time thereafter, she remembered my name.  That was remarkable! My condolences to the family. I am so sorry to hear of her passing.

So sorry for your loss. Mrs. Meredith taught me math in the late 70's. She was one of those teachers that you remember having impacted your life in such a great way. A truly special person! Take pride in your Mom's life.
