

Charles was known to be a responsible member of society. A man with strong morals, ethics and a deep spirituality. He was a reliable and hard-working man, setting a terrific example for all to follow.
Charles graduated from Amite High School and then went on to get his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering at LSU. He began his career at Baton Rouge Water Company, and eventually began working at BASF and retired from there many years later.
Charles had a passion for traveling and seeing all the natural beauty that our magnificent land has provided. He spent many hours with detailed spreadsheets planning magnificent trips so he could spend and enjoy time with his family. He also enjoyed golfing and fishing in his spare time. But if there was an LSU baseball game, you could bet he was there.
He was married to Adelaide “Del” Currier on September 13, 1975. He is survived by Del; his children, Holly “Beth” Haydel (Dustin), Jill Catherine Currier, Clay Whitney Currier (Brenda) and Grant Matthew Currier; his grandchildren, Madeline Paige Pease (Austin), Peyton Charles Haydel, Ava Ann Haydel, Connor Nicholas O’neal and Brinleigh Michelle Currier; his great-grandchildren, Sutton Jude Pease, Callum Brooks Pease and Braxton Lee Haydel. He is also survived by his siblings, Tommy Currier (Kathy) and Judy Williams (Jimmy) and numerous family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Anthony Currier and Frances Giambrone Currier; his father and mother in law, Elton "Buck" Landry and Verly Bourque Landry.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy Gonzales, LA 70737 beginning at 8:30AM. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. John Catholic Church, 15208 LA Highway 73, Prairieville, LA 70769 at 12:30 PM. Charles will be laid to rest at Serenity Oaks Cemetery in Prairieville, LA following the Mass.
