Charles Dale McKey, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Prairieville was born September 21, 1953 and passed away November 4, 2017. Dale was a retired assistant chief with the BRFD Haz Mat Unit. Dale is survived by two sons, Charles, Jr. of Baton Rouge and Jerry of Prairieville, his mother, Ms. Betty McKey, sister, Sherri Cambre and spouse Darryl, brothers, Gene McKey all of Prairieville and Alton McKey and spouse Karen of Pointe Reyes, CA., two grandsons, Aaron and Hayden McKey of Farwell, TX. and numerous nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by his father, Alton H. McKey, Sr. A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 5 PM until 9 PM. The visitation will continue on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville from 9:30 AM until a Mass of Christian burial at 11 AM celebrated by Rev.
