Charles "Chuck" E. Watkins

Charles “Chuck” passed away on February 28, 2025. He leaves behind a wife of 59 years, Laura G. Watkins. From this union they had one son, Bruce L. Watkins (Cynthia); 2 granddaughters, Harlee N. Aiken (Ryan) and Maggie L. McKay (James); two great-grandchildren, Beau Aiken and Margaret “Daisy” McKay. Charles also has a daughter Sheila Peavy (Keith) and son Chas Watkins (Denise); 3 grandsons, Jason and Nathan Peavy and Willie C. Puskus and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles has 2 sisters, Carol Ann Herring and Barbara Gail Causey; 3 brothers, Jerry Paul, Michael and Tommy. He was a member of St. James Baptist Church in Holden, LA. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He worked as a carpenter and builder all over Louisiana. Charles was a man that loved his family dearly. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, March 7, 2025 at St. James Baptist Church in Holden, LA. The visitation will begin at 10:00 AM with a service starting at 12 noon. There will be a Military Honors Presentation following the Funeral Service.
