Charlotte Ann Jones

Charlotte Cannon Jones, beloved wife and mother, passed away in the arms of her husband of 53 years on November 1, 2018 at the age of 74. She was born July 30 1944, a native of Morganza, LA and a 1962 graduate of Morganza High School. She is preceded in death by her mother Rita LeCog Cannon, father A.B. Sonny Cannon, step-mother Dorothy Cannon and grandmother Elizabeth Soileau LeCog. She is survived by her husband John Robert Jones; daughter Cheryl Fontenot and husband Troy; three sons, Paul Jones and wife Chris, Robbie Jones and wife Alisa, and Tom Jones and wife Laura; eleven grandchildren Britnee Jones Straub and husband Darren, Ashley Jones, Jonathan Jones, Shelbi and Sydni Jones, Larson, McKade and Jaron Fontenot, Toxie, Kayla and Michael Bercegeay; three great-grandchildren, Marli Roddy, Lukas Straub and Roman Landaiche; brother Alwyne (Cannonball) Cannon; sister-in-law Barbara Jones Stout; and lifelong friends, Joy Dixon, Tana Florez, Cheryl Lefort and Delores LeCoq. Charlotte was a graduate of DJ's Beauty College and opened and ran a successful hair salon "All About Hair" in Galvez, Louisiana. She was passionate about Jesus, family, friends and animals. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, painting and especially loved the beach. Special thanks to her loving caretakers from Eagan Home Health. There will be a memorial celebration of life on Sunday November 18, 2018 at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, LA. Visitation at 12:00 p.m. and memorial service beginning at 1:00 p.m. You walked again as you entered heaven, surely Jesus said "job well done my good and faithful servant." Rest In Peace for you're now in the arms of our Lord and Savior. No more suffering and no more pain. You will be in our hearts forever. We love you Mom.

My mom Charlotte was One who loved and cared deeply. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. I’m so grateful God chose you to be my mom! Your legacy will live on through many generations of live life to its fullest, love like there’s no tomorrow and laugh till you wet your pants!
