Chet Matthew Bourque

Chet graduated from Universal Technical Institute in Houston in 1990 and received an Automotive Technician certificate. Chet retired from the Parish of Ascension Public Works Department in January of 2024 after 30 years of service. Chet loved his niece and nephews dearly, as well Mopar classic cars, racing and collecting old machines.

He was survived by his brothers Boyd, and sister-in-law Kelley, Jamie, and Joel, and sister-in-law Sandi. He was also survived by his niece, Morgan, and nephews, Brennan, Ethan, and Eli.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harris and Beatrice Bourque, grandparents Acklin,Sr and Mary Bourque, Clarence and Bernice Sanchez.

Funeral arrangements will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church in Gonzales, LA on Thursday, July 2nd, 2026 with visitation from 9:30-11:00 and a Catholic burial mass at 11:00. Funeral procession immediately following to Hope Haven Cemetery on Highway 30 in Gonzales.
