Christopher "Matt" Matthew Watts

Christopher Matthew “Matt” Watts, was welcomed home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a member of Colyell Baptist Church and a member of the Local 406. Left to cherish his memory is Mickey Watts and his daughter Leah. He also leaves behind his father, Elvin “Pete” Watts; brothers, Patrick and Michael “Mikey” Watts as well as nieces, Mallory, Molly, Reese, and nephew, Jaxon Matthew. He leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Matt was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Watts; maternal and paternal grandparents. Matt was an avid outdoorsman, as well as a very talented mechanic. He was an amazing husband, companion, and friend. His love for Leah simply could not be measured or described. She was the light of his life. He was a wonderful son who enjoyed a very close relationship with his Dad and he will be greatly missed by many. Visitation will be Monday, March 11, 2024, from 5 pm to 9 pm and will resume on Tuesday at 9 am with the funeral at 11 am at Colyell Baptist Church 19524 Hwy 42, Livingston, La. Burial to follow in Blount Cemetery. Pallbearers are, Patrick Watts, Aaron Penalber, Craig Kaiser, Byron Heil, Joshua Dukes, and Jeremy Mack.
