I knew Ms. Clara all my life, but that first day of driving my bus in (August ‘93) at EAHS I was never so glad to see her beautiful face. Ms. Clara had to have been the most Godly woman I have ever known. Never a bad thing to say about anyone. She was an angel on earth. ❤️

My husband Darrell and I first met Mrs. Clara at Household of Faith. Mrs. Clara became my spiritual mentor some years ago. She and I used to attend Wednesday night services at Bethany before I returned to college to become a student again in academic things. But Mrs. Clara, who also taught mine and Darrell's children to swim one summer in private lessons, was also my spiritual teacher . She was an ideal model of a prayer warrior; as we drove back and forth on many Wednesday nights, she taught me by example and encouragement. I especially recall how she would pray in the Spirit under her breath as I drove, as well as out loud for others; I wondered if it was my driving that made her nervous! But I soon learned that this was her way of life: I Thessalonians 5:17, to pray without ceasing. I am so thankful that God opened the door for her to mentor me! I fully realize she is delighted to be in the Presence of the Lord and look forward to joining her one day. Mrs. Clara was a beautiful treasure of a woman.

I am so sorry to hear of Clara Ann’s passing. I have such fond memories of her at the Gonzales swimming pool many years ago! I also served as a commissioner at the polls for a number of years with her and enjoyed our days spent there. I will keep her and the family in my prayers. Blessings to all of you.

Prayers for all of the Johnson family , so sorry to hear about Mrs. Clara . From the first time I meet her to the last time I saw her , she was always smiling and talking about Jesus. What a beautiful legacy she left behind for everyone. To God be the glory for the things He has done, is doing and will continue to do in the lives of all who were touched by her .

Mrs. Clara, you taught me to swim, kicking and screaming! You drove me to school, you drove the band to games, I used to go ride the bus even after I graduated just to talk to you about Jesus! I stayed at your house with Beth Ann! We always had a blast and you made the best tartar sauce I've ever eaten!! It was even better the second day, if we could save any! I loved you then and I will always love you! I'm sorry we never got that one last chance at the camp with me, Yvonne, Beth, Bernie, Terri and the gang, to play guitar and talk about sweet Jesus! I know you are having the time of your eternal life! I'm so happy for you! We grieve for ourselves and the absence of such a beautiful person but we do not grieve for you because you are gloriously happy! This world will miss you. I will miss you. All of you Johnson children, I love all of you and I'm keeping y'all in my prayers! Kiss my Mama and Daddy for me! I'll never forget you! ❤

I hold happy memories of Clara Ann and I as mothers in the Gaudin and Oak Terrace subdivisions in the days when our children could run free in the neighborhood together. My kids looked up to Clara as their second mama, and I loved her kids as well.

I send my blessings to all you "Johnsons" - Clara Ann did a fine job!
Love to all,
Ms. Joyce
