Claude C.J. Joseph Kling Sr.

A native and resident of Geismar and retired operator with Ormet Corporation , he passed away on Friday, August 13, 2010. He was 78, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and an Eagle Scout. Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Monday, August 16 from 4pm until 9pm. Visiting will resume at St. John the Evangelist Church, Prairieville on Tuesday from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Entombment to follow in Hope Haven Mausoelum, Prairieville. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Donith F. Kling; daughter, Lora Kling Rodriguez and husband Todd ; sons, Carroll Kling and wife Donnie, Randy Kling and wife Rhonda, Timmy Kling, Larry Kling, C.J. Kling Jr. and wife Jean; sisters, Lena Glenn, Rita Hernandez and husband Whitney, and Catherine Furlow; brothers, Earl Kling and wife Betty and Carlyn Kling and wife Gerry; grandchildren, Rory and Lara Kling, Carey and Rebecca Kling Achord, Brandon and Kristy Rodriguez, Chelsea Kling, Timothy Kling, Chae Kling, Rene Kling, Jared and Elizabeth Kling, Bree Rodriguez, Adam Kling, Jenna Kling, and Jorja Kling; and great grandchildren, Rebekah, Daphne, Lexi, Jade, Jaden, and Tristian. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Alix Babin Kling; sister, Lydia Richardson; a brother, Wilton Kling; and a great granddaughter, Rylee Achord. Pallbearers will be Rory Kling, Brandon Rodriguez, Timothy Kling, Jared Kling, Adam Kling, Chae Kling, Kenny Phillips, and Kenneth Furlow. The family would like to thank the Mary Byrd Perkins Cancer Research Hospital, Our Lady of the Lake, and Dr. Stagg for their care.
