

Clint Michael Delaune passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at the age of 47. He was born in Baton Rouge, La., and graduated from St. Amant High school. He then spent his adult life raising his family in St. Amant, LA. Clint attended Baton Rouge Technical College where he earned a degree as a machinist. He worked as a machinist and operated CD’s Tractor service for many years before becoming a full-time heavy equipment operator. He operated for HP Trucking in Darrow, La.
Clint is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Larry, Sr and Marie Bercegeay Waguespack; Millard and Doris Webb Delaune; and brother-in-law, Robbie Savoy, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Mandy Savoy Delaune, and their three sons; Matthew Layne Delaune, Ethan Tyler Delaune and Bryson Gabriel Delaune; his parents, William Bernard and Rebecca Waguespack Delaune; brothers Colby Bernard Delaune (Marisela); Cale Murphy Delaune; In-laws, Robbie, Sr and Judy Schilling Savoy; brother-in-law, Cale Michael Savoy (Gerri); sister-in-laws, Nicole Savoy; Jamie Gore Savoy; Nephews, Cameron Deanne, Cooper Savoy, and Devin Delaune; niece, Aubree Savoy.
Clint’s greatest love was his wife and boys. He enjoyed spending time with his family whether it was cooking, camping, hunting, or fishing. He shared his love of all things John Deere with his boys and taught them how to operate tractors and equipment at a young age. He was blessed with the natural talent and eye for dirt work and was his happiest when he was behind the wheel with his boys by his side. Outside of work, Clint held a special place in his heart for helping Mandy at her many school functions and spending weekends at the campground surrounded by friends and family.
Pallbearers will be, Cory Brignac, Cale Delaune, Colby Delaune, Ken Dunbar, Kipp Moran, Tyson Roddy, Cale Savoy, Chayland Templet.
The family of Clint sends thanks to all of the doctors, nurses, and staff of Baton Rouge General on Bluebonnet for their care and compassion during his stay.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy., Gonzales, LA 70737, on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 5PM-8PM. Visitation will continue at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 9AM-10AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM. Burial will follow.
