

Clyde was a long time resident of Black Bayou Road, Gonzales, Louisiana. He was a loving husband and father and was adored by his daughters-in-law, grandchildren, family and friends. Clyde was a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church for many years. He was also a 50 year member of the IBEW. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and helping people. He was a hard worker and an expert with black electrical tape, duct tape, and WD40. He never met a stranger. Clyde was married to Ruby Templet Villar for 70 years! They had 8 children. He was survived by his wife, Ruby; his children and their spouses, Clyde, Jr. and Toni (Singletary), Wayne and Nelda (Finn), Judy and Roy Sholmire, Kathy Villar May, Alton and Darla (Trabeau), Darrell and Janet (Mechana), Tammy and Murphy Yelverton. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren; sister, Hazel Villar May; brother, Clarence Villar. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vick and Eva (Stephens) Villar; his mother and father-in-law, Narcisse and Madeline (Babin) Templet; sisters, Agnes Henry, Mable LeBlanc, Maude Diez; daughter, Karen Villar Duffy, and sons-in-law, Wayne May and Floyd Duffy. Clyde touched the lives of many people. He was an amazing man and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Friday December 18, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 9:00pm and resume on Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 10:00am until his celebration of his life at 12:00pm officiated by Rev.
