

A licensed exterminator for Fife Exterminating and a resident of Gonzales, he died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, as a result of an automobile accident. He was 29. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Sunday, Jan. 30, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at St. Mark Catholic Church, Gonzales, on Monday, Jan. 31, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Reuben Reynolds. Burial in Hope Haven Cemetery, Gonzales. A few of the things he enjoyed were fishing, hunting, playing pool and cooking for family and friends. Dagan will be remembered most by being a simple yet awesome man. He was wise beyond his years and has left behind lots of great memories for all. He will also be missed by his favorite dog, Dixie. He is survived by his parents, Layne and Stacey Bercegeay Fife; a sister, Denae Fife; a brother, Destin Fife; maternal grandparents, Carbett and Beverly Marchand Bercegeay; godmother Stephanie and uncle Carlos Braud; godfather Kenny and aunt Kathy Fife; aunt Adrian and uncle Terrell Bourgeois; aunt Edwina Willeford; aunt Susie and uncle Greg Bercegeay; godchildren, Blayson Fife and Jaylyn Braud; and numerous cousins, all of Gonzales. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Adrian “Red” and Lorita Gautreau Fife; uncle, James “Fred” Willeford; and cousins, Tadd Fife, Zoie Willeford and Rhett Tortorich. Pallbearers will be Destin Fife, Cody Braud, Jot Willeford, Eric Moody, Gary Barbour, Mark White, Royce Sutton and Chris Voellinger. Honorary pallbearers are Brett Fife, Blayson Fife, Carbett Bercegeay, Ryan Bercegeay, Darrin Willeford and Matthew Tortorich.
