

A native of Arnaudville and resident of Gonzales, he passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2012. He was 60 years old and a veteran of the US Airforce, who served during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 ½ years, Rozanne Tuttle LaPorte; parents, Nathan Antoine and Lula Mae "Sis" Thibodeaux LaPorte; daughter, Emily LaPorte; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Sarah LaPorte; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Susie and Barry Smiley and Sonya and Dewey Stewart; two brothers, Chester and Tony LaPorte; brother-in-law, Archie Tuttle Jr. and wife, Diane; and two sisters-in-law, Debbie Carson and Jessica Molin. Preceded in death by his grandmother, Melanie LaPorte; mother-inlaw and father-in-law, Archie Sr. and Bea Tuttle; and a sister- in-law, Jennifer Duncan. A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Friday, June 15, 2012 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will resume at St. Mark Catholic Church, Gonzales on Saturday, June 16, 2012 from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., conducted by Rev. Rubin Reynolds. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Baton Rouge. Pallbearers will be Matthew LaPorte, Dewey Stewart, Archie Tuttle Jr., Barry Smiley, Tony LaPorte, Chester LaPorte, Raphael LaPorte, and Nathan LaPorte. Honorary pallbearer will be Allan Plotkin III.
