A native of LaPlace and resident of Livingston, he passed away Friday, June 8, 2012, at the age of 41. He is survived by his parents, Phyllis L. and Dave P. Monaret; daughter, Brittany Monaret; step-son, David McElveen; brother, Jarrod Monaret; sister and brother-in-law, Bridget Monaret Benoit and Phillip "Boobie"; wife, Bonnie Marchand Monaret; nephew, Joel Gros Jr.; and a niece, Lexi Benoit. Preceded in death by grandparents, George and Vivian Lemoine, Henry and Bridget Monaret. There will be a visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church in French Settlement, Thursday, June14, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Jason Palermo, celebrant.
