David Powell Hatter

David Powell Hatter, a resident of Prairieville, La passed away surrounded by his family, on Saturday, August 16, 2025. He was 67 years old. He was in the United States Army from 1976 to 1978. He retired from Kansas City Southern Railroad after 37 years of service. He had a love for animals, especially his beloved Chevy and Daisy. David is survived by his wife, Sheran May Hatter; 2 sons, Coley Windham Hatter (Madison), and David Wayne Ingram; 2 granddaughters, Ellie and Millie Hatter; brother, William Hatter III (Cheryl); and sister, Aletta Hatter Barnett (Ken); special aunt, Nell Chaney Baham, who he loved dearly; and 4 nieces, Lauren and Charles Dye, Angella and Joe Collins, Madison Collins and Makayla Collins. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Jr. and Myrtle Chaney Hatter. Services for David will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Ourso Funeral Home 13533 Airline Hwy. Visitation will be from 9 am until the funeral service at 11 am. He will be laid to rest at Serenity Oaks Memorial Park,15304 Hwy 73, Prairieville, La. Pallbearers will be, Steve May, Keith May, P.J.
