

Our beloved brother, uncle, nephew, and dear friend, David Christian Veasman, 59, of St. Amant, Louisiana went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. He was born on July 28, 1964, in Osceola, Arkansas. David was preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Joe Veasman, his grandparents, Elvessa and Roy Robinson, of Lincoln Co., Missouri, and Fanny, and H.L. Veasman of Osceola, Arkansas. He is survived by his brother, Mark Veasman, of Geismar, LA; his sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Jamie Clemmer of Benton, AR; one nephew and three nieces, Jay Veasman, Taylor Parsons, Lauren Brewer, and Caitlin Bennett; one aunt, Lee V. Rose; one uncle, Allen H. Veasman, two great-nieces and four great-nephews. David grew up on his family’s farm outside of Keiser, Arkansas, and was an Osceola High School graduate. Early on, David developed a real love for agriculture; he completed a bachelor's degree in agriculture at Arkansas State University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve, serving abroad in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He was employed by Hexion Chemical, but his pastime was putting his tractors to work, frequently helping his co-workers and friends. A Celebration of David's Life will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, Louisiana on Saturday, December 30, 2023 with a visitation starting at 9AM till the service at 10AM followed by a family gathering. His final resting place will be the Auburn Cemetery, Lincoln County, Missouri, adjacent to his grandparent's farm that he helped care for in recent years.
