David was an outstanding gentleman, father, husband, son, brother, and friend. He touched far more hearts than we can ever imagine. A resident of Prairieville and an industrial engineer with CRA, he passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 16, 2012. He was 41 and a native of Gonzales. He was an avid LSU and Saints fan, having played for LSU in the 1988-89 season. He graduated from LSU in 1995 with an engineering degree and went on to graduate from Southeastern where he received his master's in business.
Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 9 am until 1:30 pm. Funeral services will follow at The Church in St. Amant at 2 pm. Burial to follow in Oak Lane Memorial Park.
He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Amy Porta Womack; parents, Floyd "Sonny" and Diane Delatte Womack; father in law and mother in law, Daniel and Rose Porta; daughter, Alexa Womack; sons, Ashton and Aidan Womack; sister, Dawn Best and husband, Jason; brothers, Dean Womack and Daniel Womack and his wife, Megan; maternal grandmother, Pearl Delatte; and two nieces and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clarence F. and Gladys Broussard Womack and his maternal grandfather, William Joseph Delatte.
