

Dino was born May 24, 1959 in New Orleans, Louisiana and passed away on December 1, 2016 in New Orleans at the age of 57. He attended Jesuit High school in New Orleans, Louisiana, graduating high school in 1977. Dino pursued his Bachelor degree in Political Science at the University of New Orleans, where he attended on a golf scholarship. He furthered his studies at the University of Oklahoma, where in 1985 he received his Juris Doctor degree. He remained in Oklahoma City as a partner at Fellers Snider Law Firm for over 20 years.
Dino met his wife, Mary, in Oklahoma City and married on March 17, 1990 at St. Andrew Catholic Church. On July 13, 1999 they were blessed with their daughter, Bailey Nicole.
In 2005, Dino and his family moved to Gonzales, Louisiana and he opened Sleep Rite sleep study centers based in Kenner, Louisiana and serving the surrounding New Orleans area.
Dino’s life centered around his family. He was the proud father of Bailey, who is a senior at St. Joseph’s Academy in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His favorite hobbies were golf, snow skiing and more recently he had become an avid runner, having completed four half-marathons, of which he was very proud.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary, and his daughter, Bailey of Gonzales, Louisiana, his mother, Iris Mercedes Viera of New Orleans, his brother and sister-in-law, Raul and Mella Viera of Lafayette, Louisiana, his brother and sister-in-law, James and Peggy Viera of Metairie, Louisiana, and his sister, Iris Josephine Szachacz of New Orleans, Louisiana and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Raul J. Viera of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Dino and his family are parishioners of St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church in Gonzales, Louisiana. He was a generous supporter of River Parishes Community College, St. Joseph’s Academy, The Hispanic Apostolate and his church.
The memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, Louisiana. The memorial gathering will resume on Monday at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, Gonzales from 10:00 a.m. until Rite of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., conducted by Deacon Bill Blair.
