

Donna Jagneaux Duplessis passed away June 22, 2026 at the age of 73, surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Church Point, Louisiana and a resident of Prairieville, Louisiana. She loved travelling, spending time with friends and family, and meeting new people. She traveled all over the world and extensively throughout the United States and never met a stranger.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jack Duplessis; her daughter, Chairity Waugh and son-in-law Michael Waugh; her son, Chase Duplessis and daughter-in-law, Sandy Duplessis, and her eight grandchildren; Isabella, Elisha, Eleanor, Hannah, Josiah, Ezra, Samuel, and Amelia Duplessis; two brothers, Roosevelt (Pete) and Michael Jagneaux and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Enola and Roosevelt Jagneaux Sr. and brother Wilton Jagneaux.
The pallbearers are Chase Duplessis, Elisha Duplessis, Michael Waugh, John Jagneaux, Christian Jagneaux, and Zachary Jagneaux; Honorary Pallbearers Pete and Michael Jagneaux.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Pinnacle Hospice, especially her two dedicated nurses, Anna Ellinburg and Chantel Frazier Denicola also her home health aide Veronica Bailey, Dr. Derrick Spell and his staff, Dr. Andre Bonnecaze and his staff, and everyone at the Woman's Hospital Cancer Pavilion for the care they provided.
Visitation will be held at Istrouma Baptist Church Main Campus in Baton Rouge on June 25, 2026 from 9:00am until 11:30 am, immediately followed by a service. She will be laid to rest at Serenity Oaks in Prairieville, La.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Cancer Services of Baton Rouge or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
