Donna Buisson Giarrusso

GONZALES – Visitation for Mrs. Donna Buisson Giarrusso, age 54, will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Ourso Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at Ourso Funeral Home chapel, 1:00 pm, Friday, March 28, 2014, with Fr. Gerald Lefebvre officiating. Interment will follow at Hope Haven Mausoleum in Prairieville.

A native of Harvey, Louisiana and resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Mrs. Giarrusso passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 20, 2014 in Tennessee.

Donna grew up in Harvey and relocated to Chattanooga twelve years ago. She worked as a substitute teacher at Harrison Elementary School in Chattanooga. The school was a very special place to Donna. The people there were like a second family to her. Donna loved her family and friends. She had a big heart and a huge smile that would light up a room. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Chris Giarrusso of Chattanooga; son, Taylor Ryan Giarrusso of Chattanooga; daughter, Jennifer Bouquet Tureau and husband Steven of Gonzales; parents, Robert and Betty Buisson of Harvey; sisters, Loretta Buisson and husband Hylas of Gretna, Cheryl Fontaine of Harvey; brother, Robert Buisson, Jr. of Harvey; grandchildren, Cooper & Jax Tureau and nieces, Courtney, Sara and Jordan.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
