Dorothy Mae Tassin, a native of Moreauville, LA and resident of St. Amant, LA passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the age of 68. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Lynn Tassin Peltier; son, Keith Tassin and wife, Becky; grandchildren, Steffan, Jesse, Angelle, Philip, Bradley; great-grandchild, Jackson; sisters, Janis, Juanita, and Sylvia; brothers, O’ Brien and Raymond. Dorothy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Philip Tassin and her parents, O’Brien and Thelma Lemoine Chatelain. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Life Celebration Service will be held at 6:30 pm.
