

Doyle, a native of St. Gabriel and resident of Gonzales passed away December 24, 2020 at 12:48 PM at OLOL-Ascension due to complications from COVID at the age of 86. Doyle was born February 7, 1934. He graduated from Gonzales High School in 1952. He went to LSU and then on to Loyola University where he graduated in 1958 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree and belonged to a National Dentistry Honor Society. In 1958 he entered the U.S Navy serving his country and was stationed in California at the San Diego Naval Training Center where he served as an officer and also practiced Dentistry. In 1960 he then returned to Gonzales and went into private practice dentistry for the next 15 years until retirement in 1975. He is preceded in death by his parents: Raymond Philippe and Arlene Lapeyrolerie Philippe, his siblings: Raymond Philippe, Robert Philippe, Alfred Philippe, David Philippe, Howard Philippe, and Louise Philippe Price, and his son: David “Wolfie” Philippe. He is survived by his wife of 26 years: Johnnie Lynn Mitchell Philippe, daughters: Susan Corkern, Lisa and her husband Randall Dunigan: son, Devin and his wife Cherron Philippe, 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Private graveside services will be held for Doyle.
