Earl D. Gautreau

Earl D. Gautreau passed away on February 13, 2026 at the age of 77. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. Earl was born in Baton Rouge, La to Herlad and Lela Gautreau, who he now joins in their heavenly home. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Linda Stokes Gautreau; their daughter, Mindi Gautreau Gonzales (Mark); his two grandchildren, Mallory Gonzales Hernandez (Collin) and Mason Gonzales and his great-granddaughter, Jude Hernandez. He is also survived by his sisters, Gwendolyn Schexnayder and Vickie King (Chandler); his brothers-in-law, Michael Stokes and Kenneth Stokes and numerous family members and friends.

Earl loved spending time at home with his wife and family. He could often be found watching sports, especially LSU football and women’s basketball. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy. Gonzales, La 70737. The visitation will begin at 9AM with the service starting at 11AM. Earl will be laid to rest at Hope Haven Garden of memory Cemetery in Gonzales. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude’s Children Hospital in Earl’s memory. Arrangements under the care of Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, LA.
