Elaine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who cherished her family above all else. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and playing pool and created countless cherished memories along the way. She also found great joy in sewing, tending to her garden, and getting lost in a good book.
Elaine is survived by her daughters, Valerie Young (Cary) and Lindsay Wine (Christopher); her grandchildren, Jase LeJeune (Morgan), Connor McCallister-LeJeune (Wade), Alexis Wine, Walker Wine, and Baker Wine; and her great-grandchild, Grayson. She is also survived by her sisters, Deloris (Willard), Louella, and Yvonne; her brothers, Ranis (Janice) and Merlin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jessie Broady; her parents, Francis J. and Lucia Avet; her sister, Lorina Boudreaux; and her brother, Francis A. Avet.
Elaine's love, kindness, and devotion to her family will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on through the many lives she touched and the family she loved so dearly.
Services for Elaine will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy., Gonzales, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
