Elvin Wayne Jones

A resident of St. Amant and retired shift supervisor, he passed away at his home surrounded by family on Friday, January 11, 2013, at the age of 69. He was born in Greenwell Springs on May 4, 1943 to Daniel and Verda Montegomery Jones. Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 5 pm to 9 pm and will resume on Monday from 8 am until religious services in the funeral home chapel at 10 am. Burial to follow in New River Baptist Church Cemetery, St. Amant. He is survived by his adoring wife, Anna Trosclair Jones; three sons, Steve Jones and wife Carol, Jimmy Jones and wife Gayle, and Keith Jones and wife Melissa; three sisters, Clarice Brister, Doris Brown, and Audrey Nichols; four brothers, Homer Juban and wife Betty, Lloyd Jones and wife Marilynn, Floyd Jones and wife Evelyn, Donald Jones and wife Carolyn; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Kaitlynn, Brendan, Ashley, Regan, Courtney, Brooklynn and Hannah Jones; One Godchild, Donna Rogers.
