Emerald Wesley Jones age 92 passed away on November 26, 2014 in Gonzales, LA. . Mr. Jones was a native of Swedesboro, N. J. and a resident of Gonzales, LA. . A memorial gathering will be held at Ourso Funeral Home -13533 Airline Hwy. –Gonzales, LA. on Saturday November 29, 2014 from 9:00 A. M. until 11:00 A M. . Mr. Jones was a retired Civil Engineer with Hercules, Inc. and a United States Navy veteran of WWII. He is survived by 1 Daughter and Son-in law; Bonnie and Jeff Burns of Gonzales, LA. ,2 Sons and Daughters-in-law; Dale W. and Mary Jones of Palmyra, MO. , and Barry G. and Cathy Jones of Wilmington, DE. . 6 Grandchildren; Lance Jones and Spouse Stacey, Mandi Crane and Spouse Daric, April Bryan, Matthew Jones, Hallie Prejean and Ramsie Prejean and also 12 Great Grandchildren. Mr. Emerald was preceded in death by his wife; Stella Elizabeth Knox Jones; Parents; Gardner and Mary E. VanBuren Jones. Mr. Emerald was a member of Masonic Lodge # 87 F. & A. M. in Clarksboro where he received his 60th anniversary certificate and was a longtime member of the U.S.G.A. and a Graduate of Widener College . The family would especially like to thank Bridgeway Hospice, private care nurse Celeste, Sitters; Gloria West and Betty Pekins and the staff and friends of Azalea Estates.
