Erica Elisha Black

Erica was born on October 8, 1986, in Houston, Texas. She was a graduate of Dutchtown High School, Class of 2005. Erica built a career as an esthetician, a profession that reflected her creativity, care for others, and attention to detail.

She had a deep love for music, skincare, and spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed concerts and moments shared with those closest to her. Her warmth, humor, and passion for life left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved son, Maddox Rylan Baker; her father, Lon A. Black and stepmother, Judy Wilson Black; mother, Camille Capers; her best friend and love of her life, Justin Montgomery; stepson, Brayden Montgomery and her half-sister, Margo Gibson.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Harry and Mary Black, and her maternal grandparents, Bree and John Capers.

Erica was also the proud and devoted fur mom to her two cherished pets, Zooma and Sugar, who brought her endless comfort and joy.

A visitation will be held on January 25, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Ourso Funeral Home, located at 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, Louisiana, 70737.

The funeral service will follow at the same location, beginning at 2:00 pm.
